About a month ago Cascadian Farm Organic contacted me to do a review for some of their New products. I received 1 box of Crunchy oats & honey GRANOLA BARS and 1 box of  berry cobbler GRANOLA. I received these in a fun packaged that also included a notebook, magnet and magazine. The package also came at a perfect time, because I was headed out-of-town to Georgia and was happy to have some healthy snacks to take.

I am a huge fan of granola and couldn’t wait to try the berry cobbler GRANOLA, which is part of their cereal line. I specifically planned to have this cereal on leg day because of the carbs. I poured myself a bowl post workout filled with almond milk. Since I am usually starving after any workout I dove right in and was pleased with the crunchy texture and flavor. It was sweet with berry flavor in every bit. All their products are organic with minimal ingredients. I also liked this cereal because I knew every ingredient listed. The only thing I was not a fan of was the 15 grams sugar, it’s a little high for me. I would consider this a breakfast treat or keep it for days I need a higher amount of carbs.

The Crunchy oats & honey GRANOLA BARS, where I great option to keep in my purse for emergencies or while traveling. They came in handy on my way back from Georgia for both me and Jeremiah. 1 bar is 90 cals, 13g of carbs and 5g of sugar, not bad for a granola bar. Jeremiah loved them and had 2 bars. This was a great snack option to have for him.The ingredient list is pretty simple: rolled oats, sugar. sunflower oil, honey, sea salt, molasses, and vanilla extract. photo-164

If you interested in learning more bout their products check out their website. I also want to add that before I decided to try their products I wanted to make sure it was Non- GMO. Here is a quote from their facebook page:

“while it is true that our parent company opposed Prop 37 due to the belief that labeling should be set at the national level, Cascadian Farm continues to take organic certification very seriously. We do not use GMO ingredients in any of our products, and we never will.”

What are some of your favorite snacks?
